Insurance

Insurance guidance for practising reflexologists.

IFR requires practising members to hold suitable insurance.

Insurance requirements

Full and Tutor Members are required to hold a minimum of £4 million in professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

IFR is a non-profit organisation. We have no financial arrangements with insurance providers and receive no commissions, payments or other benefits from them. We do not recommend individual providers or steer members towards any insurer.

The list below includes providers commonly used by IFR members and is shared for information only. Members and applicants should make their own informed choice and check that their policy covers reflexology, their working location and the way they deliver their services.

What to check before buying coverA practical checklist for your policy
  • Professional indemnity and public liability limits.
  • Whether reflexology is named or clearly included in the policy.
  • Where the policy applies, including home practice, clinic rooms, mobile work, events, or online advice.
  • Whether the cover applies in your country or region of practice.
  • Any exclusions for particular client groups, techniques, teaching, products, or additional therapies.
  • Whether legal defence costs, complaints, and record-keeping requirements are explained clearly.
